I can't help you with your question because I'm not an engine builder or performance guy. But I'm betting you'll get more help from the engine forum. I know I've gotten lots of help from the y-block guys for my 292.

Bore it .030 over, stroke it to a 445, install a set of Edelbrock heads and intake, source a suitable camshaft, carb, headers and dizzy and you should be pushing 500 HP and 600 ft lbs of torque.
