Have looked at a classic air/vintage air or another one of the retrofit vendors since you're going into a '57. The setup is much better than OEM (70's OEM anyways), will run ice cold and the compressor (Sanden style) is much easier on the engine. Brackets and pulleys are different on those models (come with the kits).
Vintage air sells a very competively priced steel bracket set. It will be ready for the very popular and efficient sanden compressor. I have installed many of their systems and products and never been disappointed.

Any links? 351m is a bit of a pain to locate and most Sanden compressors I've seen don't come with v-belt pulleys.
