Np435 tranny problems
So I'm not too keen on transmissions so I need a little help. After a couple days of driving my 73 f250 it was working fine then on my way home tonight it would not let me shift into 3rd gear. It would just grind. It's done it a couple times but I kind of thought that was me not all the way in the clutch (I hoped) so would this be the synchro's? That's all that comes to mind for me..

Can you shift from 2nd to 4th, or are you just stuck driving around in 2nd? If you're stuck in 1 gear the whole time, could be the clutch. If you can shift from 2nd to 4th, could be the synchros.
Check clutch adjustment first, these are adjustable. I had to do mine when I bought it because it would begin to engage as soon as I touched the pedal. Adjustment is a little weird at first, but you're looking for about 1.5" of soft pedal before engagement I believe was the spec.
