Help Deciphering Ford Tech Speak

2006 F-350 6.0, 100K miles. I've owned for last 11K.

I am getting a summertime worklist together to improve reliability of the truck. One area of concern is the HPO system (no current concerns now - just want to avoid future problems). I asked my local dealer to run an Oasis report, and the information I got back is just gray enough to leave me wondering what parts I have in my HPO system. Anybody willing to decipher the Ford tech write-ups and post their thoughts is much appreciated.

Italics are from the report verbatim.

C S CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, STALLED WILL NOT START
1 diag P2290, 2291. Monitor PIDs while cranking. Air test high pressure sys. R R both valve covers to air test and ck O-rings on injs. Removed high pressure pump cover, found high press fittings blown. R R pump to install STC bracket and new fitting. Roadtest. OK.

Date was 5/9/2008, 45778 miles.

The document has three columns that list Prefix, Base, and Suffix. For this work, the characters are 4C3Z, 9B246, and A, respectively. This looks like an STC kit, but all I find today are suffix F. I'm a little spooked by mention of the bracket that I have the original STC version. Is this true?

SPIN NO START WHEN VEHICLE IS HOT

Verified concern followed TSB 081806 replaced dummy plug O-rings found ICP sensor intermittent concern replaced ICP sensor and connector and retested OK.

Date of 7/3/2009, 55522 miles.

Would the expectation here be that I should have the 12mm updated plugs with the Teflon backers? Or is it possible they just wound up replacing O-rings on the old plugs and put it back together? No prefix or suffix on this line item - just a base of 9B246. As best I can tell, this does not appear to reflect any sort of new dummy plug part number.

I understand what I'm asking is like trying to read someone else's mind, and I also know the only way to know what I have for sure is to dig in and find out. My hope posting is that more knowledgeable folks can help me understand the probability I've got upgraded HPO system parts installed. That info will help me with planning future work.

I can also post the entire document if it contains helpful information I did not transcribe above.

Thanks much.

New STC fitting installed

New ICP and pigtail installed. The best I can tell on the dummy plugs, same as you, could have been just the o-ring, but he followed the TSB. Only way to really know is to pull a valve cover, it doesn't give a either.

My take on what they found and did. Hope it helps.

Yup, that's the P/N for the STC bracket that piggybacked a replaced STC fitting per TSB-06-14-6. That one was superseded by TSB-06-17-6, which lasted until early 2008 maybe?

Your date of service seems late though, the revised part came out in late 2007 or early 2008? The International part number for the updated fitting was 1879930C93, but I can't find a bulletin about when it came out. My guess is you have an old STC connector with the metal bracket on it.

Guys, thanks for the input. Confirms what my suspicions were - which is that I probably do not have the latest and greatest HPO parts under the hood. It shall make it back to my summertime list.
