GREAT PUBLICATION!

Is that FORD or aftermarket?

The choke mechanism has a vacuum sourced pull-off.

Here is a read on EEC - III -

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_EEC

FORD had a lot of trouble with the 7200 VV and released a service replacement carb kit (2100 or 2150) to replace it and keep the vehicle within emissions.

CFI replaced all of that.

EDIT -

The more I think of it, I believe the service upgrade/replacement was a 2V HOLLEY.

Ok, so the "C" Choke & the "V" do tie together. I didn't notice it before, but in the photo, you can barely see the vacuum Tee fitting.

Also, in the attached PDF is the Choke Hose & Tee fitting, part location # 17.

Ok, a picture might be better to understand what I was referring to in post # 12.

The "CM" and the "ISC" have a similar look. But in the ISC config, it is a Dizzy vacuum set-up vice the "CM" set-up. Anyway, that was my point in post #12.

ISC Definition attached. Surprised my Glossary didn't have the "CM" definition, since the book has both ISC & CM configurations.

Ok, just figured out a difference in my 83 book, for the 5.8L they use the "ISC" in the passenger vehicles and the "CM" in the Trucks, same symbol, different acronym.

Also in the Passenger cars with the 5.0L CFI, they use "CM" as well.

Probably a different part?

Ok, so help me: I've not been keeping up. Are we dealing with a VV carb or did you just throw that out to explain C vs V?

Yeah, must be a different part or the would have keep the same identifier. Maybe something to do with the CFI technology.

This is all more research than I even care to know, but more of a "CM" research effort.

This is just a continuation of his Vacuum Diagram coding definitions that he asked about in his 1st post, and subsequent questions along the way.

I believe he now has a Holly.

Ok. But the calibration info for 2-24P-R11 is not for his truck - right? I ask because I can't find it in the catalog.

Vinny - Just realized where you are getting the pictures. I have the same book, or at least very close although you said yours is a 1983 book and mine is entitled 1981/1982 Carburetor Adjustments. Anyway, mine has the same pictures and text in it.

Which reminds me - I'd planned to have it scanned and then put onto the proper pages on my web site. I'd better do that and then you won't have to scan or photograph your pages.

The 83 book is a "Car & Truck Engine/Emission Facts Book Summary"

The carb book prob same as yours, 81/82, I have 79/80 - 83/84 - 85/86 as well.

I have an extra 85/86 if you want it, just PM me your address.

I'm rebuilding 2 2150's on Tuesday for a 78' F150 302, I must just have Carb's on my mind this past week.

Just snooping in your profile, I'm a retired ET/IT guy as well.

I also have the 79/80 book, and would love to have the 85/86 book. So the PM has been sent. Thanks!

Oh, and I have the 1985 version of your 1983 book.

Well, I THINK it should have been a 7200 as I can't find references anywhere else to a 7700. So, I changed the page name and snagged the PDF you posted - hope that's ok. Go look again: Motorcraft 7200 VV - ???Gary's Garagemahal.

Fair enough, since I robbed a copy of your 2150 rebuilt pdf off your page.

This one attached is a different version, but it shows the different Dash-Pots available.
