FORD had a lot of trouble with the 7200 VV and released a service replacement carb kit (2100 or 2150) to replace it and keep the vehicle within emissions.
CFI replaced all of that.
EDIT -
The more I think of it, I believe the service upgrade/replacement was a 2V HOLLEY.

I can't figure what the v and the c are. I was going to say v was venturi vacuum, but why would you tie the v and the c together as they did in the diagram?
Ok, so the "C" Choke & the "V" do tie together. I didn't notice it before, but in the photo, you can barely see the vacuum Tee fitting.
Also, in the attached PDF is the Choke Hose & Tee fitting, part location # 17.
Ok, a picture might be better to understand what I was referring to in post # 12.
The "CM" and the "ISC" have a similar look. But in the ISC config, it is a Dizzy vacuum set-up vice the "CM" set-up. Anyway, that was my point in post #12.
ISC Definition attached. Surprised my Glossary didn't have the "CM" definition, since the book has both ISC & CM configurations.
Ok, just figured out a difference in my 83 book, for the 5.8L they use the "ISC" in the passenger vehicles and the "CM" in the Trucks, same symbol, different acronym.
Also in the Passenger cars with the 5.0L CFI, they use "CM" as well.

Reason: Adding Text
Vinny - Just realized where you are getting the pictures. I have the same book, or at least very close although you said yours is a 1983 book and mine is entitled 1981/1982 Carburetor Adjustments. Anyway, mine has the same pictures and text in it.
Which reminds me - I'd planned to have it scanned and then put onto the proper pages on my web site. I'd better do that and then you won't have to scan or photograph your pages.

Now, I did look there and saw the 7700 page was under construction.

Well, I THINK it should have been a 7200 as I can't find references anywhere else to a 7700. So, I changed the page name and snagged the PDF you posted - hope that's ok. Go look again: Motorcraft 7200 VV - ???Gary's Garagemahal.

Fair enough, since I robbed a copy of your 2150 rebuilt pdf off your page.
This one attached is a different version, but it shows the different Dash-Pots available.
