Had a classmate lose his mom yesterday. She was always nice to us giving us cookies and what not, being the class mom ect. Sad to hear it took awhile for her to go after dementia and whatnot. She was in poor health for quite awhile. Another classmate lost his dad. A Fairly nice guy, brain tumor got him. Went fairly quickly.
Apparently a couple of people died at the Big Bend National Park this year already, there were signs posted at the visitor's center as somewhat of a informational warning. They were both in their 60's\70's, but still concerning given it was still the winter and they both experienced heat-related deaths.
Jamie came closer to death than comfortable when she passed out going up the Santa Elena trail that runs along the Rio Grande\Mexican border. We're still not sure what the cause was, but she became dizzy\unresponsive and I was able to catch her towards the wall as she fell down. If she freely fell in the other direction she would have tumbled down the ravine wall and gone into the river, so we decided to head back to the truck. A couple hours later we ended up doing the Chisos Basin loop trail further up on a mountain and she did fine with that, so we're still scratching our heads over that one.
I heard a story when people were dying in casino just because they were playing for quite a long time. This is always what gets me right in the heart: the best of us are dying quickly due to epidemics, car accidents or during the night while sleeping. Others are living for soo much time. What is the purpose of that?
And imagine a situation: I have created a roulette practice simulator for people in order to change their addiction of playing, step by step. However, there are still people that continue to hate me because of my actions. Some of them wish me to die, lmao...
I attended my cousin’s funeral in Nebraska last Thursday. He had a rough life and was hard on himself. He was only 62 and had been in poor health. The only positive was I saw a lot of extended family.
