early 1950 ford F1 grille paint code

I'm looking for a paint code for the Argent silver grille on my 50 F1. If anyone knows of a number please post. I've been searching and i've seen everything from a cream color to silver to chrome. I know mine was silver but i just can't find a paint code. I'm using sherwin williams but i can go to any brand if i have a code. THanks

I don't know if this is the same color that you need but I bought a can of argent spray paint from the Ford dealer that is called argent Paint for trim. You could try a Ford dealer. Does Williamsport have a dealership? I got mine at the Lock Haven dealership.

Can't remember where I found this chart but I think it's correct. Ford is 7 lines up from the bottom.

Thanks guys, i'm going with the Sherwin Williams 77710 since my local paint shop carries that brand. I'm going to also pick up a rattle can as mentioned above just to compare.
D Sokol, at first i wasn't sure of that color on your truck but every time i see it i grows on me. Nice job!

I painted my 50 F-3 about 20 years ago. To me my grill looks just like D Sokol's argent grill. What I used was Rustoleum Aluminum Silver 7715. Don't know if that is still available. I used it because I couldn't find argent.
Last year at Hershey Classic Car Fall Meet, I talked to an owner of a 1948 F-1 with a sort of light tan grill. He told me that it was the original color for the 1948 F-1. His Dad had bought it new so I decided to believe him. Patrick
