Trailer Brake control for 2011 F-150

Yes, it will work in your new truck.
But, you will have to buy a new adapter. They changed the trailer brake connector in 2009.
I took the old brake controller out of my 06 expedition and put it in my 2010 at work and needed a new truck-side plug. Mine cost me about $15, so it is a minimal one time expense.

I bought this
FORD Brake Control Connector (Universal)
Because my controller has the four wires coming out the back. If yours has the connector, then you probably want this
FORD Plug-In Simple!® Brake Control Connector
