Not a bad truck, the rust on the drip rail is a bit of a concern. But seems kind of common of older vehicles that live along the CA coast, this one is just north of San Luis Obispo on CA Central Coast.
The price though...damn. I would think it's the patina, plus that it's running and driving and titled that really add to the price.

First thing to say I think is that it is a tonner rather than 3/4 ton. The two part RH rim says that. The earliest tonner had 3.75" wide rims. Called 5" using the NWRA standard in place back then. A 3.75" rim would be correctly fitted with either a 5.50-17" or 6.00-17" tire at about 29"-30" tall. Agree those look like they could be 4.50-17" that are about 27" diameter. Either way it's a nice truck, and agree values are going up. Stu

I have pulled perfectly good 7.00 x 17s just to run mediocre 7.50s. As a tire approaches 34" it speaks to me. OK, it screams to me.....

Trying to find something 34" for the 59. It's looking like $1000 for a set of 900x16 is about as cheap as I can find in the new market.

Wow, I'm really not a fan of that patina. Normally I don't mind too much but I think that truck really needs a paint job. That price seems way high to me. The little tires make the truck almost look lowered. Also, the only other 38-39 tonner I have seen with the light duty three speed had the 6.66 alxe ration it it...

Otherwise I really like the truck simply because it is a 38-39 Ford 122" truck.
