I have a 1992 E 250. When I check for parts on-line it often asks if it's an XL. Does that mean extra long, because it is long? Nothing on title or truck says XL but tags may be missing.
It's a trim package. The base model was XL normally with a vinyl floor and manual windows. The step-up trim XLT adds carpet and power windows among other things. Later Ford added the Chateau trim package that was more like a conversion van.
This is what JC Whitney wrote: "We can check if we carry the compatible part in our inventory. Please inform us if your vehicle has a Base or XL sub model." Need to get new shocks. Mine has an extended body with back seat and over 8 feet cargo behind it.
