Oil Pressure Issues
Ordered from Summit, not OE springs, they were trash. This cam needs much stronger springs. I have Lunati dual springs, 348 pounds if I recall correctly. The stockers were like 58 pounds when we took them out lol
All things considered, hydro cams pretty much don't never go over 350 pounds. You will need to check all the obvious, push rod length, coil bind, retainer to guide, rocker clearance, spring install height, piston to valve, etc. I would think that cam would run a single spring with a inner damper.
Correction, they are 328 pounds, not 348, that is the spec from Comp Cams, I ordered the Lunati version of the spring since Comp was out of stock at the time I built the engine.
Its been running for 2 years and about 15,000 miles with no issues til I floated this lifter.
So I ordered light weight lifters to help reduce the float and lowered the rev limiter a few hundred RPMs to 4500.
