Hey guys, sorry been a while since I posted or anything. Been really busy with the new job. I actually wanted to see if someone can help me out. I was running a few tests a few weeks back on the EBP wire. I had a piece of wire inside the plug and shorted it to ground. The truck had a little burp for a second and then threw a code for ebp low circuit or something. I tryed to clear the code but it keeps coming back. Is there some fuse somewhere for it or is it direct to pcm? I must have burnt something .
More than likely you killed the Vref. Now it's time to see
if you took out a fuse or it the PCM took the hit.
I'll have to get you the PDF for diagnosing the Vref circuits.
Found the files you need. Read the Vref PDF and that will
give you the pinpoint tests you need to do and what needs
to be done to resolve the issue.
Took a little bit of time today and checked voltage at the EBP wire. Removed the wire from ebp and put key on engine off. I got 4.48 volts between white wire with red stripe to brown wire with white stripe. And 4.20 volts between brown with white stripe and purple with blue stripe. Then 0.08 volts between white with red stripe to purple with blue stripe.
