Center Console removal

Where are the fasteners? Just need to run a cell phone antenna wire into the center console. Is it the same an F150?

I have a Lariat.

The side panels clip on, the bolts holding it down are hidden under those side trim pieces, yes same as F150s.

Are there any instructions on how to remove it?

I watched how to do it on an F150 in a vid, I can try and find that link again I posted it in another thread a few months back.

***EDIT***
Just go to the end and the guy points out the 6 bolts, 3 on each side that mount the console, they are under the side trim that clips on in the passenger side and has a screw on the drivers side.

Perfect, I'll likely see it for I can take mine out this weekend. I have the jump seat and was looking to see how difficult it is to remove the console for those times I need a 6th seat.

So I took the center console out. There are 6 bolts that hold it into the vehicle (and one bolt which holds the drivers side panel in place (the panel has to be removed to get to the bolts which keep the console in place). It was a pretty easy task. There are then 3 connectors which need to be disconnected. Again pretty easy to remove. The holes for the center seat are there but they need to be tapped and you will need 4-5 bolts to hold the seat down. The bolts that came with my seat were M10 - 1.5 and they were pretty easy to tap.

The challenge that I ran into:
The center console has the compartment for programming the key. This is also the sensor which detects the key and without this you are not able to start the vehicle (It tells you the key is not detected). So I need to either find out if there is a way to disable the key (unlikely) or a way to move the sensor from the console to the seat or in the dash.

Now I just need to see if anyone on the F150 forum has figured this out. Maybe Livnitup knows?

Any update on this? I am looking at swapping my large console for a jump seat in my 2017 f350 lariat

I was gonna send you a private message but doesn’t look like I have that feature. So for a jump seat in a 2017 f350 I need to source one from a 2015-2017 F150?
