Center console removal...

I just bought a 2005 Ranger FX4 Level II with the bucket seats and the center console and I was wondering if anyone knew how to remove the console. I want to drill a few holes in the front of it so I could put my Ham Radio in my truck as well as run the antenna under the console.

Thanks in advance

If it's like my '98, you first have to remove the armrest. It's held on with bolts that you can get at by popping off the covers located on both sides of the rear upper part of the console. After the armrest is removed, you will see the screw that secures the rear of the console to the armrest bracket.

The front console screws should be easy to get at, you just have to remove the beverage holder part of the console and you will see them. Remove all the screws and then remove the console by pulling it straight up.

the front console under the dash of my 03 seems like it clips onto a bracket. i can't get it off w/o breaking it. i don't wanna force the issue but i think i'm gonna have to break it to get it out of there
