MAP reading

so I have looked around the Web and search for a little while now. this last weekend I installed a new anti surge (wicked wheel) on my 2002 7.3l. I noticed quiet an improvement on the excelleration and better drivabilty from the vehicle.
my X has 4in exhaust the WW upgrade and the edge programer. however, I did tighten the wastegate alittle when I did the wheel upgrade. I have been focusing more on the gauges after the ww install and noticed that I am only maxing out at 25 on MAP. this reading stays constant through the everyone of the tunes I have. I have noticed that it looks like the CAC pipes seem to be stock and I noticed that I do have a slight but of oil coming from the hot side pipe to the intercooler. I am wondering what else I may need to do now to solve this problem. I live at sea level so my map reading is 14-14.7 while at idle.
i purchased this X back in december and have been trying to work out all the kinks as I can. this is my only vehicle now (besides my wifes) and need this vehicle to last me for the foreseeable future.

thanks for everything in advance

Well at sea level 14.7psi is about right. What symptoms are you trying to correct?

MAP sensors are rated in atmospheres. 1 atm sensor is 14.7 psi. A 2 atm sensor is 28 or psi....which you probably have. A 3 atm sensor should be a 45 psi rated sensor.

I would bet yours is maxed out.....IE 5 vdc = 25 ish psi. If your boosting more than 12- 15 psi a MAP that is 5 vdc at 45 psi or so is needed.

I'm not necessarily trying to correct anything. I am trying to make my truck run at its best. I was under the assumption that 14-14.7 (sealevel) is comparable to 0psi of boost. then remove that from the number at max boost and that would be your boost psi. and if that is the case I would only be achieving 11psi of boost which is low for a bone stock truck let alone one with a few mods done

You can check the MAP tube and see if it is clogged first. Also check your MAP in stock tune to see if the base line is correct and then drive it around and see if it maxes out at 25. After that you can check your system for leaks. Do you have a boost gauge? Sounds like you are using a app like Torque Pro or something? I can easily hit 30lbs of boost but I don't monitor the MAP...

I will check the tube tomorrow on my brake at work. the base line is the same in all tunes. the max is also the same on all the tunes (I will double check tomorrow). I do not have a boost gauge unfortunately, my edge attitude doesn't have a boost gauge that I can find as well. my next fix will be to upgrade the CAC hoses.

My Edge Evolution had a boost read out. It was pretty close to my actual gauge. I would think the Attitude should have one as well. If it can monitor the MAP it should be able to do boost as well.

you are correct. my edge does have boost. it hasn't worked since I had the vehicle so I started using MAP. I'll check today if it has changed. but since I purchased the vehicle the boost on the edge was always at zero Wether at WOT or idle

just checked the hose to my MAP sensor and that is unobstructed. while I was there also check the elbow it attaches to the engine side, and that is unobstructed. the connectors at the MAP sensor are also nice and tight

well I guess that my question should be why isn't my edge not reading boost? the reason I asked about map is because my boost isn't working what so ever on my edge attitude cs

Not likely much help, but I can see boost on my Edge CTS2. Only reads up to the boost relief setting so I installed a pressure sensor on the relief valve to read true manifold pressure.
