This same thing is happening to me.
Dustin, were you ever able to figure out what the issue is?

I replaced my heater to resolve the P2...Ba code, not I am getting the P20e8 code. Code reader says "Manufacturer Control".
Any advice you can share from your situation is appreciated.

Thank you!

If any of u r using non oem heater / temp sensor unit off eBay/amazon etc. Don’t. I’ve had them bad right out of the box, $115 down the drain. Oem at like $365 and it worked perfectly. My time is worth a lot and dropping the tank twice sucks.

Thats good advice on OEM parts.
I dont have the box/receipt anymore, but I bought the heater from Oreily's for around $320.
Heater seems to work fine now. However, now I am getting the P20e8 code. I drove my truck for a few months with the P20Ba def heater code on the dash. I checked the resitance on the old part and it was 4+ ohms (should be 1-2 ohms). Could this have caused electrical damage to the other DEF components?

I checked the resistance too per the ford service manual and my chineseium checked out. But it didn’t work and the PCM was reading like -9F and it was 78F here. No way. Oem fixed it. I don’t even know
how since the resistance was right!

the code u got now may be the sender unit where the pump is. I also went and paid the $35 to that justanswer thing. There’s some dude … something Moose. Dude had like 75,000 5/5 stars. Ford mechanic and he replies with all the wiring diagrams recommendations etc etc. Nice being able to directly msg a pro. I cancelled after I fixed my sh..

good luck
