Let me start by saying I've already tried searching, and can't find anything regarding my question.
I have a 93 f250 with the Dana 50 front end. I understand that the Id of the spring eye is a 2 in bushing, however the lower spring wraps around the spring with the bushing. My bushings are going out, and the passenger spring rear outer is touching the rear mount. Does the new bushing really make that big of a difference in height for the outer wrapped spring? Sorry if this is hard to understand. Any advice is appreciated
Welcome to FTE! It may be twisted a bit, and that's why the spring is touching the mount? I think I understand what you're trying to say.

Thanks Red, neither of the springs are twisted, however all four bushings are cracked. The one in question looks compressed, and it's mounting bolt looks sunk in about 1/4 to a half inch. I'm going to replace all four bushings with energy suspension bushings, and at 17 dollars a pair, you can't beat it. My biggest issue is I'm hearing the springs hitting and scraping the frame mount, so they need to be replaced for sure.
The other issue I'm having is the bottom leaf rubbing and eating into the helper spring, because the material that goes between them is non-existent now. Do you know if it will hurt to go ahead buy the material and put it between the springs?
Sorry, this is my first time dealing with leafs, just about the only thing I haven't had experience with.
You can put material between the springs if you want to. You could also do a D60 swap with a rsk and super duty springs. I guess it all comes down to how much money you want to spend, and how you want the truck to ride.

Money is kind of tight, so I'm just looking for cheap preventative measures until I can afford a d60 swap, I can barely afford the bushings
