Tranny leak getting fixed

Well I just put my baby in the shop. Like most of you, I fix everything myself that I can on my Aero, but I can't take the tranny out and do the seals properly.
I took it on a highway run the other day and for the second time it started puking fluid from the front of the tranny. I could have tried a big cooler and that may have helped. But thats not my style. I took it to a great tranny tech, and told him to pull it and reseal the front, the pump and give it a once over.
No need to rebuild yet, it works great with 130k so far. I will have him also install the big cooler as well. Its gonna cost, but I love her.

mine did that once.needed four quarts to refill.not to mention the smoke screen it made when the fluid hit the exhaust.

I feel ya, smoke city. I felt the shame when it was smoking.
The shop called me today once he had it out, and said I should go ahead and do the modulator and a torque converter. He would also do the drill out of the bellhousing. I went by and checked it out and the front seal was stiff. This guy used to have an Aerostar,,, and loved his. He was very impressed with mine and I feel he is treating her right. I could see the nostalgia in his eyes.
I hope to pick her up tomorrow after work, and give her a nice soapy bath,, to get the tranny fluid off her butt.
Pics to follow, it should be pretty. (the tranny, not the butt)
