Engine Monitors

I just recently bought a 2005 Ex with the 6.0L diesel. I also bought an Edge CTS-2 Monitor. Now, my question is this. I am new to diesels and I know the Edge will monitor many engine parameters. I'm asking which parameters are most important to watch and where can I find the limits of those parameters? Thanks in advance.

For your 6.0 I'd start with these

Oil temperature
Coolant temperature

I'll add EGT and Trans temp.

Also, get a cheap tablet and use it to run Torque Pro as a second monitor.
