Sorry if this has been posted before. I've got an 02 SuperCrew, I bought it lowered with stock 16's, I just traded up to some 20's. The rear has 2" shackles and lowering springs on the front. I want to drop it a little more. I was thinking either a flip kit or add 2" rear hangers to go with the 2" shackles. On the front add drop spindles for another 2". I know I'll get some crap for lowering it but I'm not into lifts and I live in So Cal where it's not really a big thing. Any ideas is greatly appreciated!
I would go Belltech spindles up front and shackle mount kit in the rear and remove the overload leaf, that will add 3/4 of an inch of drop to the rear. That will help get rid of some of the rake. We have about 2 inches of rake. If you can get it close to a 1/2 inch then your wheel well gaps will be about the same. Flip kits almost always lowers it to much and would most likely need a C-notch. I have custom springs and shackles. You can also relocate the hangers you have now and save the money. You have to grind off the rivets of the OE hanger to install the hanger kit. A uni-bit and some 1/2 inch hardware will save you the cost of the kit. I did my own relocate with 1/2 inch stainless hardware I had laying around. 1.5 inch bolts with flat washer on each side and a lock washer on the nut side. You redrill the mounting flange about 1.5 inches down with 1/2 inch bit. You can find C-notch kits on ebay pretty cheep. A little ingenuity nets money in your pocket that will help pay for other stuff.
