Header Advice

My truck is a 65 F100, with a 352 floor shift trans. It currently has headers installed, but they are old and have a hole. I want to replace the headers with a 2.5in exhaust system. I am currently leaning toward the Doug's Headers from Summit Racing. Has anyone used these before or have any knowledge about them. Everything I have read and see seems to be good. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

In looking at pic's on Summit website, curious if there's an issue with header/flange in relation to crossmember and/or steering box? In reading the 2 reviews, appears customer's described a tight fit, 1 required minor tweaking; whereas, the other customer described tight but good fit.

If no feedback from FTE member's, suggest posting question in the summit, under item description, 'ask question' forum in either application the owner has the Bendix steering box, to include info regarding manual trans? Anyhow, food for thought?

I used Patriot specific fit headers on my 66 with 352, C6 trans and factory power steering.
Fit great, no issues, plenty of clearance.
You will need to lift the front of the motor off the perches by 1.5".

I was looking at the Sandersons Shorty's. Not using manifold gaskets makes me a little nervous.

If your exhaust ports are flat, you most likely wouldn't even need sealer. :-)

Guess what kind of exhaust manifold gaskets came on the FE motors .......?
