Shocks/lift
We bought a 2001 Excursion Limited 7.3 last year and we are looking to replace the shocks and add a two to three inch lift. What are some recommendations for the best ones. We use it for everyday driving and we tow in the summer but no off-roading.

"the best" Excursion suspension package I know of is from Carli.
They have put a lot of time into tuning it.

If you don't want to go expensive $$$ options, I recommend (and use) the Bilstein 4600 shocks. They are designed to go on the Excursion with up to 4 inches of lift. Once you reach 4 inches of lift, you would need the 5100 series shocks. Many here are running the Bilsteins and like them a lot.

How do the fox 2.0 shocks compare with the bilstein 5100's? It seems like those are the 2 most talked about shocks when people ask. I have Fox shocks on my jeep and the jeep rides very nice but I see a lot of people recommend the bilsteins. I am about to put a lift on my truck and would like to know which shocks would be better than or equal to also.
