Transfer case color
I have a 72 highboy that I restored and didn't paint the transfer case and when I took the truck to get it inspected the guy at the shop asked why I didn't paint the transfer case. I just degrease it and left it. It looks like there's some red. Can someone tell me what color it should be from the factory. Thanks

Natural grey cast iron. I'd paint it to stave off rust...and it's easier to spot a leak if it ain't painted black!
