Sticking Caliper

I have a 2014 Expedition EL 4WD. I just replaced the front brakes. The outer pad on the front left wore down to the backing plate in a matter of days, but all of the wear on the rotor was on the outer inch and a half of the rotor. The inner pad still had 90% life (I've had the truck for two months). I replaced the pads and rotors, but the front left is still sticking, and there is obvious wear on the rotor in the same place, with the crosshatches still visible on the rest of the rotor after a 15+ mile drive. I replaced the guide pins and boots, and lubed them with silicone paste grease. Is this a sign of a bad caliper or something else?

Sounds like the caliper piston is sticking in the bore or the pad is not fitting properly.
I would Inspect the areas where the pad backing plate touches the caliper support. It should be lubed where it rubs.
If all that is good then the caliper is probably the problem.

Good luck,
Richard

Yep

Bad caliper. I was able to replace it, and all is well now. Finding the right caliper was a pain. My truck is a 2014 built in July 2014, so some parts are 2014, others are 2015.
