2010 Navigator L fuel filter
I got all geeked up for a tune up on my wife's Nav, got the plugs done with no drama and slid under the driver's side door to change the fuel filter. Lo and behold, it wasn't there. After 30 minutes of tracing fuel lines and looking at YouTube videos, I still can't find it, even though I bought one for it and every filter manufacturer in world makes one for it. What am I missing? I can follow fuel lines from the top front of the tank to where they enter the engine compartment. Is this a unicorn that has a sump filter in the tank??

Fuel Filter
Removal and Installation
WARNING: Before working on or disconnecting any of the fuel tubes or fuel system components, relieve the fuel system pressure to prevent accidental spraying of fuel. Fuel in the fuel system remains under high pressure, even when the engine is not running. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.
WARNING: When handling fuel, always observe fuel handling precautions and be prepared in the event of fuel spillage. Spilled fuel may be ignited by hot vehicle components or other ignition sources. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.

- The fuel tank(s) has a fuel filter that is part of the Fuel Pump (FP) module and cannot be serviced separately from the FP module. For additional information, refer to Fuel Pump Module in this section.
