Sticking caliper?

Has anyone ever had a caliper stick? I'm still chaseing a bad squeak in my drivers side rear. The pads are new, rotor looks fine and I even pulled the axle to eheck the wheel bearings which were good to. I checked oasis and it said the caliper stuck about 60k ago and they added a friction modifier???? Could the caliper be my problem? It does it sometimes while on the brakes and sometimes around a right hand turn at low speed.

i have the same problem, with my front drivers side really annoying this weekend im gonna change the rotor's on the front, i think i might have one of the U clips on the top of the brake pads that may have fell off when i did the pads last year... that may be the problem we shall find out tomorrow after the ball joint and rotor's are done

not sure about the sticking caliper

Did you check the slide pins? They can freeze in the bores and cause a caliper to hang up.

what are the side pins? you talking about the plungers that press the brake pads to the rotor when you apply the brakes? or are they a dffrent part all together?

Chris is talking about the caliper slide pins. One on each end of the caliper with the rubber boot.

LINK to Guzzle's Caliper Lube. This is for the front calipers but the rears are basically the same, just smaller. Caliper bolts are 18MM and slide pin bolts are 12MM.

I did have a caliper sticking, right rear. When I was driving something just didn't "feel" right. I got out and put my hand by each wheel....Bingo rr was hotter than the rest. Replace with rebuilt caliper and have had no problem since.
