Need help with intermittent hard shift.
My truck is hitting hard in second and fourth gear. I sent it to a transmission shop and they rebuilt my transmission, but I am still having the same problem. The problem is it is hit and miss I can go a week or more and nothing then all of a sudden wham!
I have changed the throttle position sensor, the variable speed sensor. My shift lever is a little loose could this cause my problem? Any help please.

Why that one? Has anything indicated it's a problem?

The chip has been in my truck for five years and this problem started about six months ago. What drives me bonkers is this problem only happens every so often, but when I say shifts hard I mean it slams.
