Jack. I was trying to express that when using plastigauge, the crank should not rotate when tightening the housing screws. This causes inaccuracies when squeezing the measuring cord.

Plastigauge? Pickup a set of telescoping bore gauges and micrometer.
Load your main caps and rods with the bearings and torque to spec.
Mic the crank, record measurements.
Use bore gauges check bearings in a few spots.
Subtract measurements for clearances. Compare those to spec.
Numbers don't lie.

TooManyToys. Do you still have one of those steel engine lift plates for sale? Went looking on eBay and cannot find that link. My 6.0 needs to be resealed spraying oil all over the bottom of the truck, lol.

The engine lift bracket. I never followed through on making them as it didn't seem like the need was there anymore.
