Ok, I unfortunately have money coming in from the little accident that caused some headaches, anyways I have decided to convert the front end from a E99 truck to the 2008+ style and need some info on this as the search is yielding some but not enough info.
once I get all the parts required (doors and lights, ect) will every thing just be 100% bolt on? I know the doors will be direct swap minus wires and hardware which I will pull the good stuff and transplant it into the newer doors, where my concerns lie are the bumper, I know I will need a new header panel which will help with the light install and make it simpler, I'm fine with that, however I need to figure out will the Ranch hand bumper be a direct bolt up for the E99 frame? I do want to retain the tow hooks, but I don't want to plunk down a grand for a bumper that will not bolt up at all.
Checkout McNasty Customs... Also, think Lex0002 here is /done with the 11'-up conversion from them... Didn't know how much hacking was involved or else it was something that I would've pursued..... Now, there is the easy conversion which entails the 05-07 front grille and headlights, along with a 11-up front bumper. I think it looks effin dynamite
They do... Don't get me wrong, the 08-10 is the style I dig, but the effort involved looks very time consuming... They have a bolt on kit, then you just supply the body parts
I don't mind putting in some effort, I already am going to swap the doors out, so I figure why the heck not...just hoping a job comes through soon...but I got most of what I need start wise so meh...EDIT: I managed to locate the site for them, now I just need to find time and call them to aquire what info I need, as I am also planning to pull a header panel for which ever nose I decide to go with and it looks as if they are going off the basis of keeping the 99 header panel, which I won't be doing...
Doors are identical, just mirrors are different, let alone, the interior panels. Guy on YouTube shows off his upgrade to existing 99 doors.. Along with the dash upgrade
cool thanks, I was also able to locate the site, thanks for the link! now to sort the acquisition of the parts...hehehehehe....my co workers are going to lay bricks once I'm done with this...heck I will blow there minds and act like I dropped a car note after just getting this one paid off LOL!!!! let the Shenanigans commence??
(This is how I really feel when pulling off projects like this...)
