Alright, I was wondering if anyone has tried this. I have a 98 F150. Its got the 97-98 bumper and grille shell with it. I was wondering if anyone has tried putting the newer bumper and grille shell on like the 99's. I just like the look of the newer styles and wonder if it was a bolt on type of job. Anyone feedback would saawweeet.
Working on it as we speak. It is just bolt on. You need, Rh & Lh bumper brackets ($16 ea), Grill ($56), Upper pad ($30), Bumper ($80), Valance ($76) and new Fog Lights w/Brackets. I found a couple on ebay ($31 ea). Total $336 plus tax, Shipping & Painting. Thease of course are aftermarket parts, cept for the fog lights.

Where did you order from? I priced the parts a few weeks ago and everything was about 2x what you got yours for.
I didn't order, I picked them up at a place called Jerry Johnson Motors here in Winston-Salem NC. 1-800-621-7793. There must be a place close to you that sells aftermarket body parts. If you call them make sure they give you the right bumper brackets (the smaller ones), and the valance w/fog only comes in Arizona Beigh and the tow hooks are not cut out, but I plan on primeing and painting it. btw the chrome bumper is a little more.
A friend of mine replaced his valance w/ 1 from a HD so I can get his old 1 free.
Did you get the chrome surround or the paintable one? I don't think there are any aftermarket parts dealers around here. The closest would probably be in Atlanta.
I was also thinking about doing a little conversion so I could put PIAA's air dam on the front. It looks pretty nice, check it out...... http://www.piaa.com/Lamps/Lamps-VS06.html
would tow hooks or anything have to be moved?
