replacing trans fluid in 4r100 again and noticed a problem. If i insert the dipstick with the handle writing facing upwards the hatch area at the bottom of the stick reads full and the clean backside reads dry. Flip over the stick and the reverse is true. another forum a owner asked the same question on how to properly read the stick and really didnt get a clear reply. Basically both sides should read the same and the excess fluid on one side doesnt matter. But if you just go by the level on one side then you have way too much or not enough. i e always just used the hatched side without thinking about it so maybe have been running a quart or 2 short....any thoughts?
