Hey guys I am installing my DP chip, while removing the pcm i found that the previous owner had lost/broken or just discarded the cover. any ideas on a fix for this, all the local junk yards aren't helpful, and a replacement part is over a week out. just looking to see if anyone has made a cover or mount of some sort.
thanks
Are you talking about the actual cover that screws on the the chassis itself or the "box" that it slides into to mount to the kick panel? If it is the actual cover to the PCM a piece of Plexiglas cut to fit and some sort of gasket (RTV?) should be all you need.

The box the pcm slides into is missing, it was just held in with duct tape, any suggestions hydro?
Make sure part of it is in contact with metal since it should be grounded.

This would be the main concern. The factory "box" has metal tabs in it under the mounting screws for this reason.
Question is.......How big are your feet and do you wear boots?
You can still lock it in place with the bolt thru the firewall but if it gets played with (ping pong) by getting nudged around, there in lies the problem.
I would do a nationwide of yards and find the stock cover. It has a much needed anchor incorporated into it. Doesn't take much more than a nudge or two at speed to drop the truck on its face. (ask me).
