Yes I know exactly what it is and how to fix it. Poor design, defective and insufficient weatherstripping and door misalignment and adjustment. I simply purchased some additional universal weatherstripping (Metro MW78348) available at Autozone or online. It's a perfect fit into the recessed channel in between the factory weatherstrip and the inner door opening. I cut it to the length I wanted.
I don't have any sort of popping but my weather stripping or something in my drivers side front door panel is making some sort of noise and it drives me absolutely insane !!!!! I hear it when I drive down rougher roads or bumps. Doesn't matter if Im turning or driving straight.
Ive seen some forums where the spray silicone inside the weather stripping through the little holes, basically saying the noise if from the seals sticking to themselves. But that seems like a messy way to fix it.
Is anybody else experiencing something similar and of so how did they fix it?
I have the same issue going on my truck and it only has 1,500 miles on it! It is worse when I drive down bumpy roads. It's driving me crazy. There is another post about drives side squeal that you should check out as well. But also read some other posts on this thread. Someone may have found a fix.
Can you please explain more about the way you fixed this? Thank you!
Dealer did the fix. Where the Seat Belt enters the molding by your head there is some sort of "Ratcheting System" that has moving parts that needed some attention.
