Hey guys just a quick question that has been answered before but I wanted to get more of a personalized answer to my case. I have recently acquired a 2004 6.0 f250 with 140,000 miles. It is completely stock and I've been reading up on this forum, as Ive never owned a diesel before and I am trying to get as familiar as possible. This truck is my daily and I use it as my main vehicle to get to school/work. I just installed the edge ct2 and on my way to school (30 min. leveled ground city ride at 45 mph) I noticed that my EOT was as high as 207 and ECT was at 182. I took it to the highway for 10 minutes at 70mph and EOT was 220 and ECT 176. Should I be alarmed? (I think I know the answer)....I am starting to get concerned the more I read about these deltas as they're over 40 degree difference Outside temperature is around 65 in VA. Any suggestions on what to do next or what to look for in order to determine the issue or any tests that can be done? What are my options? thank you in advance!!
Sounds like oil cooler to me.
But first:
* what does antifreeze look like in degas bottle? (milky= oil cooler breach)
* if no milky in degas, change thermostat and flush it good, hope for the best.
*make sure you use ELC coolant in it (such as rotella)
Ok good to know, I thought I would be more concerned about the high EOT,this morning on my way to work ECT was up to 192, EOT at 220. Varies a lot though...

Antifreeze looks good. Just had all fluids changed. Is it the low ECT that I should be worried about, or the high EOT? or is it the big split between the temps... Thanks for the advice

You should be concerned. Running empty steady down the hi-way is too high. I don't hit that towing my 5er that's 13,000#s. 240° is the highest you ever want to see intermittently. You should be around 190s for oil temp.
First check the basics. Do you have the OEM oil filter and filter cap. (Post a pic if you're not sure)
If I were you I'd be looking at doing a dump and flush of coolant and then oil cooler change soon. With an oil cooler coolant restriction you are more at risk for the EGR cooler cracking internally causing symptoms like coolant in the cylinder, exhaust, and/or in the intake. (If you still have an EGR cooler in place)

I do have a stock egr cooler and oil filter and cap are OEM. But I am bit confused.. what am I trying to accomplish by flushing the coolant (sorry for my ignorance, just a college student trying to own a diesel truck). And for the oil cooler change, do you recommend OEM oil cooler, or go to a bulletproof one? Thanks for your input!

The coolant flush will get out all the gunk and sediment (and likely wrong coolant) before going to the cat coolant. The reason for doing this before the oil cooler change is that the flush will likely cause your partialy clogged oil cooler to be completely clogged.
And use an OEM cooler kit. Also you can do a egr delete while you are in there if you want.
