Just curious why you think you need to? Odds are you'll put more contamination in the tank with that hose then just driving the truck and using it up my truck always uses a gallon a month, but I do drive a lot. This is an old discussion on the site I always top my tank off at half a tank warning. Never had a problem like a lot of people do when they let it go empty till the last few mile warning that either never resets itself or the northern climates burns out the heat system because there's less than 2 gallons left in the tank the unit overheats itself just my theory my dealers replaced 3 heat units 2014 through 16 trucks other than my engine blowing up because of bad bottom end bearings the def system works great LOL take care
I'm guessing he is deleted and no longer has a need for the def. I have thought about doing this myself. I have that exact pump in my garage already just wasn't sure if there was a screen in there or not
