guys, I need some help. Over the last week my truck has done a no crank/no start seven times. I took it to the dealer for a MIL code 203B, they addressed that and I mentioned the no crank issue. They said they could not find anything about that, of course is would not replicate. Today it did the no crank/no start four times. It will start to crank for about 1/2 second and then completely stop. No lights, no codes, no nothing. Eventually it will crank and start like normal.
thoughts? ideas? bad battery?
thanks
Push to start or key start? Model description, year? Total miles, and how many times has this happened and what Miles, cold, warm, or other details. Keep bring into the dealer numerous times to document your issue no matter what, as this is the only way to be sure they have the warranty information to ensure you get an address.
I had that happen to me and it was indeed a bad TERMINAL in the battery, according to my dealer, ford rep, and guy from Michigan who they apparently called down to Delaware

push start, 2017, 4100 miles
had happened 7 times, all on cold start or 2nd start of day
4 times this am, 1st start of the day
Do you get a very firm brake pedal in the AM? My master cylinder looses vacuum when mine sits. This makes for a very firm brake pedal when starting. When the truck is cold and there is the glow plug delay, I've had it happen as you describe. I don't maintain enough pressure on the brake pedal and the crank will be interrupted. Try a firmer push or two feet if necessary and see if this still happens.

I haven't noticed that. It also did it when I try to remote start it.
I have also noticed that my radio will change its source when the truck is off. And the cluster screen will go from the speedometer to the mykey view. 😕
I may have just possibly found the cause.
I was checking the batteries and found my passenger side negative battery terminal clamp was broken. the black little piece that clamps the cable to the terminal.
I bet it is a $2 part, if it is even available separately
