Hello all. This has me puzzled to no end. After my son had put fuel in my truck it began to run rough, and had to be towed home, and now won't start. Now the first thing I thought was that he put regular gas in. But he was sure he had not ,and the receipt from the pump indicates diesel. It was hard starting before this happened.
1st Has anyone had the misfortune of having gas put in instead of diesel and did your vehicle run afterwards.
2nd Here are my readings from my scangage:
Sync Yes/1, Ficm main power 48.5 v, ICV .17 (2.01 when cranking). ICP 1572
IPR 50.7.
Checked upper fuel filter for bubbles, none.
Engine oil pressure comes up immediately on cranking.
Don't know what else to check, these readings look fine to me.
Only the fuel is something I'm not 100% sure of. It does smell like diesel not gasoline.
Thx in advance.
Do you frequent this station. Check your fuel for gas again it's possible the big truck that tops the station off could have mixed his load. Maybe ask anyone else that may have fueled there and see if they have had issues after fueling up or even ask the station clerk.

Yes I fuel up there all the time never a problem and never heard of one.
What is battery voltage when cranking? What year model truck is it?
All I have is the scanguage2
The sync is FICM SYNC
I did not drain the fuel bowl but will, and check rate of fill. Should it fill rt to the top?
Cranking voltage I''ll check again ,but was between 9-10 at Rt side battery
2003 F250 4X4 350k km(Complete engine replaced at 160k by Ford warranty.) Otherwise stock.
Went out to work on updating Scangae with new PIDS, and it occurred to me that I had not checked the upper fuel reservoir with KOEO(which is the proper procedure?). So..I took off cap and filter and the bowl was empty. I thought "ok as soon as I turn the key Ill run back and time how long it takes to fill"
Well does not fill at all. checked it2X and still empty.
The electric pump below the drive runs for about 10 secs and stops and no fuel. Is there something in between the pump and the upper "bowl".
Any thoughts TIA
