I am looking to replace my shocks, and was wondering what a your recommendations are for a good economical shock. My truck is bone stock.

A lot of people like the Bilstein 4600's for an economical improvement over stock. Do a quick forum search and you'll find tons of threads like this.

If you feel like spendin the extra $$ on the fox your truck will become a whole new thing! They are a step above most others

Personally, I would avoid all Rancho shocks. They are not that good.

You get what you pay for when it comes to shocks.

I like my rancho 9500xl and they have a rebate on them right now. I like the adjustability. Haven't used it towing yet. But had pretty full load of dirt that I stiffened them up for, and road great.

The 5000s are a budget shock. You get a lifetime warranty and you need it. A year is about max life of a 5000.

I have both the bilstiens and the ranchos on my trucks, have been through a couple of sets of both of them as I wear out a truck in 5 or 6 years. The bilstiens may be a bit better, but I have had failures with those as well as the ranchos. The thing with the bilstiens are they will change the ride of your truck to a stiffer ride, and I think they wear the suspension and bushings a little quicker that way, jmho. If you get the ranchos they offer an adjustable series which may be better if you don't carry a lot of weight all the time and you may not care for the stiffer ride as the bilstiens are not adjustable.
