indeed i do, bird insurance via ranch hand. $1150 from bumpersuperstore.com i believe.
install was a breeze but that was with the help of an engine lift. if not, you're gonna need at least 3 big fellas
if i didnt have all the sensors and cameras on the front i would be all over this bumper lol but i can see that it would block them both out and i use them alot!!!
if i went throw insurance i would need to pay a $500 CND deductible and the part is under $300 CND
i'm not saying you need one, i'm just saying that if you had one you'd just have had a dead bird and not a dead grill
i've always had grill guards and they've often times saved me from bird strikes, other drivers, some of my own ****ty driving and of course, bump gates and actual brush
this is my first full replacement though, i figured on a one ton with a $125 option for stronger springs it was a given. it's rock solid and i like it quite a bit

that's the poor man's bumper, they make one with camera cutouts and the like
A turkey took out the west coast mirror on previous truck, bent the top of the door as well. What an impact! The mirror was heated and motorized. I replaced it with a cheepie, as I planned on selling truck.
Believe me, it could have been worse. I hit an owl one night while doing 102 mph. It flew straight into my drivers side headlight, so the impact speed was probably around 130 mph. The damage was severe for a bird weighing only 4 lbs. he went through the headlights and hit the battery which stopped him.
Sorry for your loss. At least it was bolt on parts that didn't require paint work.
The grill takes away from the platinum look, that's something I would do if I had a lower trim truck but not a platinum

It's hard to say, there all just cheep over priced plastic, I would still have fracked the other grill in half all the same! Although the design looks weaker, all the bars in the grill are rolled back, I would say there about the same! But I do think when my part finally comes in I will find a way to reinforce them some how, maby fill the inside groves with fiberglass resin or something lol
