Garage Door Opener

Garage Door Opener
I have had my truck for 3 months now and one of my biggest complaints is the garage door opener (I'm pretty happy this is the worst for me).
I have 3 doors and if I back up to my garage I can not open or close any of them. When I come home I can sometimes open the doors as I drive down my driveway ( about 150'), otherwise I have to be right in front of the doors facing them for it to work.
All 3 bays have openers less than 2 years old and the remotes that they came with can all open and close from down the road.
Is the door opener powered from the truck or does it have it's own battery?
Are you guys having more luck than I am?

One thing I found out the hard way is when I switched out my garage door opener light bulbs with LED bulbs it drastically cut down on the range of my opener. I switched back to the old bulbs and my range came back. My openers are only a couple years old. I will say the range is much worse on my Ford then on my previous 2016 GMC. I'd say the GMC had twice the range.

I too have issues and had a terrible time programming the button. I am always backed into the driveway with the garage door facing my driver side window. When closing the garage door, I don't seem to have any issues. When returning, while I have not fully tested the range coming down the street, once I do back in to the driveway, I have a hard time opening the garage door. What seems to work best is pulling the visor down as suggested here already, but also rolling down my driver side window and moving the visor towards the open window, then pushing the button (once parked with garage door facing my driver side window once again). Good luck!

When my truck was new (2011) I had nothing but problems. There are issues with homelink and ford and is documented on the forum here.
I've never gotten it to work good with my truck, never got it to work with my wife's 2008 MKX and haven't bothered trying to program her new 2016 MKC. We just use the garage door remotes.
My 2006 GMC with homelink worked flawlessly.
I have a garage door opener option on my Harley and I can open the door with that almost a block away.
LED's "shouldn't" have anything to do with it, especially when off.
I have had a problem in the past with my garage lights when the bulbs would start going bad and flickering. The flickering was interfering with the door sensors. But my sensors are mounted up above the openers, I didn't want them on the floor level.
I was again just having problems with my doors opening or closing, and it was pone of the 8' tubes again.
But those problems are only when the lights are on.
I just replaced my 8' fluorescents with 8' LED tubes. Hasn't changed anything other then the light output.
