Hey guys I wanna take the tail pipe off my 2011 f250 and paint it black. I looked underneath and it appears I'll have to take more than just the tail pipe. Anyone have experience with this?
On mine it looked like it is all welded over axle, I wrapped the back end with plastic drop an painted it on the truck, used duplicolor ford semigloss black, good for 500F
Thanks I think i'll do that as well. How did it turn out? Is it holding up pretty well? any advise would be appreciated. I have a few days off coming up I think I'm going to attempt this project. I assume one can will do the job correct?
Thus far it looks nice, that was back in Nov, but my tail pipe temps should stay relatively low with no dpf, with regents it may get hot enough to eventually burn the paint off. I used spring clamps to hold the plastic tight, and a sponge with simple green to clean it prior to paint
