Transmission cooler lines

06 6.0
How do I remove the trans cooler lines from under the truck? I've got the lines hanging free they're unscrewed from the transmission and trans filter but I can't seem to snake them out to replace them. How is this accomplished?? Thanks for the help

I believe there is a bolt to the frame holding them in place. It may be on the cross member beside the engine. Sorry not much help but they are fastened on.

Edit. Here's a picture

Looking at this, it's bolted to block. I couldn't remember.

From the service manual:

Remove line attachment nuts (4).
Remove bolt, cooling lines retaining clip.
Remove engine. For additional information, refer to Section 303-03.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Tighten attachment clip bolt to 18lb-ft.
Tighten cooling line nuts to 12lb-ft.

It's just a pain to work those out of there.

And I made up the torque values.

I'm aware of the 10mm bolt that attaches the cooler lines to the frame, ive unbolted those. I can't figure out how to snake it through the frame and exhaust and get both lines out. Removing the motor is not an option at all it seems silly you'd need to drop the motor for 2 small lines

That was a joke because of Tideman's picture.

Many have struggled getting them out. Appearantly it can be done, I didn't bother. I cut mine so the lines acted as nipples and used transmission hose to replace them.
