Transmission Cooler Lines - removal problem
I feel like a fool for asking this as there is probably a simple solution, but I just can't figure it out. I'm trying to remove the two tranny cooler lines from the radiator, and have loosened the flare nuts as far as I can with a wrench. They are just spinning, but they are still grabbing and the line won't disconnect. The cooler tube moves forward and back so it's not stuck, but I just can't get the flare fittings to come out. I have tried pulling on the lines while turning the wrench, but no joy.
Anyone run into this before? I'm tearing down the truck for a basic restoration and this is keeping me from getting the radiator out. I'm getting ready to reach for the hacksaw, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
