update: took the truck in today. They addressed the p203b code.
cleared it. since then I have not had the “service brake system” message. I was also intermittently getting a “hill start assist not available” message. have not had that since either. i got the no crank thing again last night though.
Glad I am not the only one with computer glitch issues (just posted a seperate thread where my instrument cluster does what it wants).... I think the programming is the issue personally they may need to tidy it up.
update:
I have not had any electrical issues (knock on wood) since I found the broken battery terminal clamp hold down bolt. The negative terminal on my passenger side was not securely fastened. I temporarily have used a c-clamp to secure the terminal to the post and have not had any more issues
That gives you time to get to the dealer at your convenience. In your case it should be a quick look by the tech to confirm the problem and order in the part. At least you won't have to hang around the service department while they are making their diagnosis.
replaced that stupid little “L” bracket battery terminal clamping bolt mechanism (which is not available separately, just bought the whole terminal, would have had to replace the whole negative battery cable on our trucks) and I have not had any electrical issues since
