Agree. Fake is fake and it's hard to make it look not fake. They are only original once. I'll be leaving my 59 Like Henry and mother nature sent it to me.
Real deal! I wet sanded with 400, and sprayed with matte clear coat. I will eventually patch the rust holes in doors and fenders. Duplicolor Wimbledon white matches pretty well. I patched 3 antenna holes already. If I wanted to paint the truck, I need a new bed, new hood, and lots of bodywork. I've done it before. It's nice. Then you have some fool back into it in a parking lot, or bump it with their doors. Instead of working on the body for 2 more years, I'm enjoying my truck!

I like it. U going to the Gainesville f100 roundup on may 6?
If I was shopping for a truck, I'd take an original patina truck over a painted one anyday. Only too late do you usually find what that re-paint is hiding.
I guess everybody has their idea of what looks good. For me, I prefer shiny paint, just the way it came from the factory. I'm just trying to maintain the old paint on my truck until the time comes I can finally put a nice top coat back on it.
