fake patina, doesn't have the surface rust for the real patina, maybe i'm making a mistake but i can always repaint if i get tired of the fake patina look, are you going to redo that truck in the patina look hot-rod?

Agree. Fake is fake and it's hard to make it look not fake. They are only original once. I'll be leaving my 59 Like Henry and mother nature sent it to me.
IMO there is a difference in patina and rust. Too much rust is not patina; it's ugly corrosion. An old or original paint job with rubs here and there and a little bit of rust if any is what I would call good patina. The total rusted out look that some guys go for is just dumb looking. I can go either way though; good patina or a nice new paint job.
