E40d help

I'm having trouble I just installed a used e40d out of one of our work trucks into my 95 f super duty(450) It shifts fine from 1-2 and 3-4 but from 2-3 It revs out and seems to be stuck in second until I rev it and let off any help would be greatly appreciated I'm ready to sell it the way it is but I really love my truck and would like to keep it and build it from the ground up thanks guys

Does it have delays going into reverse? Reverse and third gear both use the direct clutch. If the direct it hurt it will affect both third and reverse.

If not, it could be sticking 2-3 shift valve, or a problem in the 2-3 accumulator. It could also be a sticking shift solenoid 1.

No it doesn't have any delays or any other wierd shifts anywhere else just from 2nd to 3rd gear
