For a while now i have had problems with my trans. Mainly torque conv. and reverse. I replaced the TC and instaled the sonnax kit about 2 months ago and that solved all bur the reverse problem. When I shift to reverse I can feel it engage but as soon as I give it a little gas or I run into any resistance (ie - uphill, a bump, front wheels turn) it feels like it is not copletely engaged. I have to rev the engine very high and eventually it will slam completely into reverse. Well, yesterday, I got out on the road and now all I have is 1st gear. It will not shift out of first even if I manually shift it to second. Crazy thing is, now reverse works perfectly. I am thinking there is a solenoid stuck. Can the solenoids be rebuilt? If its not the solenoids what could it be.
I am planning on getting a BTS as soon as the truck is paid for in January. Until then I would like to nurse it along. I have had thoughts of putting in a used 4r100 and then be done with it.
Oh, BTW, the OD light IS NOT blinking. I will try to get it to a mechanic to get it hooked to a scanner this weekend.
