excessive idle

Thanks to everyone who responded. Feel much better but still foolish. Did discover however the truck uses almost no fuel when idling. Glad it dosen't have the auto stop feature.

Watch what idling does to your MPG average on the dash readout. Idling really cuts into it.

After I got my first Scanguage, I realized that a drive through is murder on your fuel mileage. So now, I park and go inside.

I always do that. I walk in, then come out a few minutes later with my food while almost everyone that was waiting at the drive through are still there.

Yep idling will kill MPG, that's why I've seen as low as 6 mpg in the winter with my Excursion commuting with the idle time warming up. Jumps back up to 8.5-9 mpg in the summer haha
