Make sure the brake adjusters are backed off. Heat works, a torch around the inner perimeter. Doesn't need to be cherry red A small sledge to break the rust bond.

1. Make sure your e-brake is completely disengaged
2. Back off the star adjuster from behind the backing plate...all the way loose
3. Penetrating oil around the wheel studs
4. Heat
5. Gentle tapping with a big rubber mallet while rotating the drum
6. Beg, borrow or steal a drum puller

All of the above. I once had a drum which would not budge with all the tricks. It had no lip for a puller (not Ford). I did not want to beat on it so hard I trashed the wheel bearings. Solution was to weld some lugs on the outside of the drum for a conventional (large) puller. With heat, tension on the puller and a sharp hammer rap it came free.

Goes without saying, new drums needed at that point. With anti-seize between drum and hub.

I haven't done this personally, but I've heard the technique used effectively...

Take out the inspection plug. Break out the gas torch. Release some gas into the inspection hole. Ignite the gas

Don't be in front of the drum when you ignite the gas.

Had a Bronco II years ago....drums didn't want to come off of it ..........heated and beat on them for a day.........borrowed some Aerokroil from a friend and sprayed them down real good.....let them sit till the next morning.......went to the shop and they came right off by hand.......If it wouldn't have happened to me personally, I wouldn't have believed it. I am not affiliated with Aerokroil.......just a very satisfied customer.....I haven't wasted my money on any other penetrating oil since (unless I am in a bind and don't have anything else).......that was damn near 30 years ago.......
